My 20 year old daughter has Crohn's Disease, motility issues caused by the disease and constipation. She is on narcotics and wants to get off of them. She has been on a liquid diet for five weeks.
We are looking for an alternative diet. How many of the Helix Indroduction she will need to take daily for full nutrition?

Hi Jayne! This amount is mainly dependent on your daughter's current weight. Typically, we need approx. 0.8 grams protein per kilogram of body weight (body weight in pounds divided by 2.2 equals kilograms body weight). By the sounds of things, your daughter may be in need of 1.0-1.2 grams protein/ kg body weight.
This will determine how much HELIX to use in relation to it's protein content. Easier said, she could take a serving numerous times a day, dependent on how her body tolerates it. Sl
